-The exploration of traditional, ethnic, "world music" and

experimental or custom-made musical instruments.

Welcome to the museumofworldmusic.com - This web site is home to an amateur-musician and a private collector of ethnic, unusual, one-of-a-kind or do it your musical-instruments. All of the articles are written about the specific musical instruments that are currently accumulated in my collection. Not all of the musical instruments will be placed on the site, mainly I either do not own the instruments or I may not have enough knowledge for the instrument.

Prior to contacting me please do read my “biography page”. I think it is only fair to inform you that I am not a business person nor affiliated with music industry in any given capacity. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, suggestions, polite-critiques you may have regards musical instruments, their origins, the history of the instruments, their tunings, scales ETC. If there is any information that is incorrect please do let me know and I will do my best to re-correct any article or improve upon it - Thank you.

Important: None of my musical instruments are for sale or trade. However there are ample sources both in the "links I like", eBay, google or search for vendors and makers who would be a great place to start, good luck in finding your musical instrument :).

Important: To those who request to have their links added to my web site. I do not accept ANY link requests. I do reserve the choice and the right to not insert links into the “Links I like” page. Please do understand -Thank you.

Important: Please do note that all the photos on my site, are taken by my own camera. Unless if otherwise stated or cited the same goes for the content. If you do use the content or photos, please do make sure you add "source from museumofworldmusic.com" in regards to the sourcing or when giving credits in your own project, site or publication ETC -Thank you.

Notice: When viewing each photo on my site click on the thumb nail of the individual musical instrument and a much larger image will appear in greater detail.
