Description: The selingup is a small thin diameter lightweight nose-flute played amongst the Kayan people in the Malaysian side of Borneo.
The Selingup is played by both men and woman and was also once regarded as a "sacred or ceremonial" instrument; the selingup is played in funerary practices and its also used in courtship. The selingup
is capable of playing two octaves.
