Description: The wot is a aerophone classified as a pan flute, it is constructed in a circular pattern. It is played by the Isaan people of Northern Thailand who border with Laos. Often the wot is sold as a tourist instrument. The musician or player holds the panpipe in between his hands and then rotates the instrument to produce different pitches while blowing downwards into the pipe thus producing the tone. From the lowest to the highest pitch the tuning is in a E-minor pentatonic scale.
